A Force for the Greater Good
A woman-owned Certified B Corp, Scratch and Peck Feeds is the first animal feed manufacturer to receive Certified Organic and Non-GMO Project Verified certifications. Their commitment to sourcing only the best organically grown grains and nutritious ingredients from North American family farmers has been their focus from day one. As advocates for sustainability, they stand with the agricultural community, working together to find solutions that support the health of our planet, people, and animals.
Packaging Design
Scratch and Peck Feeds approached me to design new packaging for the launch of their Organic Layer Pellets. There is an industry perception that pellets are inferior products which is why we had to work hard to differentiate this products as a premium feed.
Custom Illustrations
After compiling a comprehensive comparison of the packaging of pellet feed competitors, we landed on an illustrative pattern as a way to differentiate the new product. The end result was a colorful and bold depiction of the ingredients contained in the pellets.
Marketing Assets & Brand Guidelines
While the illustrations began as a bag background, we quickly realized the versatility and fleshed them out to create a library of marketing assets. I created detailed guidelines on font, color and asset usage for their internal team in order for them to build a campaign to launch the new product.
